William Steere

WILLIAM STEERE from Grand Rapids, United States will be climbing Kilimanjaro from 1st October  2014 for 8 days days along the TK Lemosho route. Proceeds from this Option 1 (unsubsidised) climb will be used to support Kijabe Hopsital.

About William’s Campaign

This climb is to benefit the Needy Children Hospital Fund of Kijabe Hospital (www.kijabehospital.org). This well established and highly regarded Hospital is celebrating 100 years of serving East Africa. They provide medical care for Kenyan and East African children – up to and including including neuro-surgery and orthopedic surgery – no matter the family’s ability to pay. With only 1 doctor and 12 nurses for every 10,000 people, many many people struggle to have access to adequate health care. Because of Kijabe Hospital’s historic generosity and the high cost of providing this care, they are always reaching out for financial help to care for the most vulnerable.

Take a look at this short video: http://kijabehospital.org/about/serving-the-most-vulnerable.

The climb is designed to raise funds for these children. One can donate and be assured that all funds raised go directly to the Needy Children’s Hospital Fund. To DONATE: go to www.kiliforkijabe.com and hit the Donate Now button! Again, all proceeds go the Needy Children’s Fund and nto to any climbing expenses.

Kijabe Hospital has an excellent rating in the handling and distribution of funds. These funds will not be used for any other purpose than providing health care and surgeries for children. The Climber’s are William Steere and Steve Swinehart. Bill is a consultant to an Architectural and Engineering Firm, WL Perry Associates (www.wlperry.com) and has family serving at Kijabe Hospital.

Steve is an Operations manager for Feed My Starving Children. FMSC provides over 230 million meals to orphans, disaster stricken and desperate individuals world-wide. (www.FMSC.org). We hope this opportunity finds a place in your heart!
