Stephanie  from Falls Church,Virginia in USA will be climbing the 8 day TK Lemosho Route from 1st – 8th August 2013, for Federation of Galaxy Explorers. The proceeds from Stephanie’s campaign will be used for a good cause to support astronomy education to children in Africa.

This summer The Federation of Galaxy Explorers’ goes global! Our Director of Mission Teams, Juli Lawless, and Director of Events, Stephanie Eftimiades, will climb Mount Kilimanjaro with the Galaxy Explorers’ flag in support of bringing astronomy education to children in Africa. For every $20 raised, Galaxy Explorers will provide a FoGE Galilean telescope to a child in Tanzania. The goal is to raise over enough money to provide two 25 child classrooms with these stargazing tools. By ascending towards of the open sky of the world’s highest freestanding mountain, Juli and Stephanie hope to inspire children around the world to embark on their own personal journey to reach for the stars. The FoGE Reps will document their 8 day trek for Galaxy Explorers via blog and video diary. You will have the opportunity to follow along and donate to this venture, where 100% of proceeds will go to this Federation of Galaxy Explorers’ mission.
