Norris El-Hiraki, Jeff Ballin and Melissa Schutz

Norris El-Hiraki, Jeff Ballin and Melissa Schutz will be climbing the 7 day TK Rongai Route from 9th – 15th October 2013 for local charities in Tanzania. The proceeds from their campaign will be divided between Ikirwa School, Korogwe Orphanage, and the work of  Nanapai amongst the Maasai and Hadzabe tribes in Tanzania.

Norris & Jeff have been friends since 1987, when they met at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, TN USA.They will be joined by Jeff’s girlfriend, Melissa. Our trip was originally planned as a life experience, but in planning the trip and reviewing the Team Kilimanjaro website, the idea of also raising funds to support local charities in Tanzania became an important part of our planning. To be able to have what we expect to be a fantastic life experience and to also be able to help local charities would make the experience even better. We look forward to the climb and also look forward to visiting at least one of the three charities after the climb. We hope our friends and family help us reach our target of $12,500 in support of organizations doing some great work in Tanzania.

This campaign closed, having raised USD 1,370 for charity.
